I love this restaurant. But, it's not a restaurant where you can go at any time and order anything off the menu and be ecstatic. When it's crowded it is so noisy you can't hear a conversation--so go at lunch time. The fabulous items on the menu are: the frisee salad with grilled shrimp and artichoke--really the best salad in Santa Barbara, the eggplant parmesan--light and cheesy with not a bit of breading, and the salmon--cooked to perfection.

I've visited twice - the second time in December with a group of eight. Wonderful ambiance, good service but the food was disappointing: none of the entrees served was warm and each was disappointing - not very flavorful. I won't go again to eat, but would go in for a drink.

Went there without a reservation for dinner around 5:30pm on a Friday. They were very accommodating and served us at a table in the bar. The tortellini dish I ordered was delicious; the pasta was homemade and the crème sauce was not too heavy and had the most amazing flavor. My boyfriend had the lasagna. He is a super finicky eater and was pleasantly surprised at how great it tasted. After the waiter took our plates away a short older gentleman came to the table and softly welcomed us to the restaurant. He asked us how we liked everything and made small chat with us. Ends up he was the owner’s father. The restaurant is elegant but still has a family style charm to it. The happy hour atmosphere in the bar area was really fun and had a combination of 20 something’s and local professionals from nearby businesses. I had a really good experience and will definitely be back.

we went to have a birthday dinner with some friends here and we were really looking forward to it! it was everyone's first time there and sad to say we will not be returning any time soon. the service was terrible. granted we were all 23-25 years old (servers tend to ignore that age range because they think they won't get a good tip because we're young) but we all work in the service industry and we take care of those that take care of us. we still tipped well, but a word of advice to the servers there, don't judge people and serve them any differently because they're young. big mistake. we won't be returning.

Of all of the Italian restaurants in SB this one is the best!!! The ambiance is very traditional in style. If you close your eyes you feel that you are in a neighborhood trattoria in Florence. Service was very good considering that the restaurant was packed!!!! The homemade pastas and traditional sauces were outstanding. The GM walking around going to every table to see how you are doing is a GREAT bonus. Don't get me wrong...Olio e Limone is very good too but no where near the charm and service as Trattoria Vittoria!!!!

My new favorite restaurant! I had a party for 17 people and it was a hit with everyone! The food was outstanding and the service even better. Vittorio, the manager, was wonderful to work with. Lauren was our server and could not have been nicer! It was a fantastic night and I could not be more pleased! Thank you for helping to make my husband's graduation celebration so perfect.

Wonderful, fresh, flavorful food. But they need to put in carpeting or something to reduce the noise bouncing off floors and walls. During one dinner, we could hardly hear each other and at lunch we were near the kitchen and the clattering was disturbing. Worth the noise to enjoy the food, but it would be much more enjoyable without having to yell during dinner conversation.
